An Overview of BSNL's Mobile Application

BSNL introduces a Mobile application for IOS iPhone, iPad,Android Phones/tablets,Windows Phone 8 and BlackBerry users. With increasing penetration of smart phones, this simple and smart App will enable customers to pay Postpaid bills and do Prepaid TopUp from anywhere and anytime.

The objective of this App is to enable the customers to pay Postpaid bills and to Recharge online through iPhone/iPad, Android Phones/tablets, Windows Phone 8. This Mobile based access to the online payment gateway breaks the barriers and limitation of sticking on to a location with PC and gives flexibility to pay.

BSNL considers this mobile application is important to reach customers proactively in facilitating bill payments in Landline/Wireless (GSM/CDMA/WiMAX –Postpaid /PrePaid) segments.

BSNL’s goal with this mobile application is to provide Mobile users a visually appealing, user-friendly application which facilitates a hassle free payment mechanism.

Postpaid (Landline / GSM/CDMA/WiMAX):
  • To Check your outstanding bill amount

Prepaid(GSM):

Landline Bill Payment
  1. Tap on Pay Bills Icon in Appbar.
  2. For new user add your LandlineNumber
  3. Enter STD Code and Landline number,the tap "OK" icon.
  4. The billing details will be displayed on the screen.
  5. Tap on "Pay Now" for Payment.
  6. Select the desired payment option i.e., Credit/Debit/Cash cards/Net banking/Pay through IMPS.
  7. Complete the Payment in the Bank’s website.
  8. A receipt for successful payment will be displayed on screen and a confirmation issued through SMS.
  9. A receipt in PDF format also will be sent through email.
GSM Bill Payment
  1. Tap on Pay Bills Icon in Appbar.
  2. For new user add your MobileNumber
  3. The billing details will be displayed on the screen.
  4. Tap on "Pay Now" for Payment.
  5. Select the desired payment option i.e., Credit/Debit/Cash cards/Net banking/Pay through IMPS.
  6. Complete the Payment in the Bank’s website.
  7. A receipt for successful payment will be displayed on screen and a confirmation issued through SMS.
  8. A receipt in PDF format also will be sent through email.
CDMA/Wi-Max Bill Payment
Provide the Service number and account number and follow the steps as mentioned above...
Recharge
  1. Tap on Recharge Icon in App bar
  2. Enter the 10 digit BSNL Prepaid mobile number / fetch from stored contacts, or tap on recently accessed numbers if available
  3. User can browse all the available TOPUP's, STV's and Plans
  4. Select the desired payment option i.e., Credit/Debit/Cash cards/Net banking/Pay through IMPS.
  5. Complete the Payment in the Bank’s website.
  6. A receipt for successful payment will be displayed on screen and a confirmation issued through SMS.
  7. A receipt in PDF format also will be sent through email.
  8. Follow the steps as mentioned above for STV's and PLAN Vouchers.
Accounts
Customer can Add / Modify / Delete Accounts related to Landline/ Mobile / CDMA/ Wi-Max, by entering the following details. On Tapping the Account, Bill Details will be displayed and can proceed for Payment.
Name
Landline Number / Mobile Number / CDMA Number
Account Number
(Account can be added using OTP if account number is not known to customer)
History
You can view last 10 payments and 20 transactions done online against each service number.
Unbilled Usage
  1. Tap on "Unbilled Usage" icon on App bar
  2. Check the unbilled usage for broadband/Landline/Mobile
  3. Check the current used plan for Landline/Broadband
Current Plan info
  1. Check the current used plan for Landline/Broadband with the usage detail
Reserve a Fancy/General Number
  1. Tap on "Fancy Numbers" icon on App bar
  2. Input Circle and get the list of Fancy or General number
  3. List can be filter based on Circle, number and sum of digits of the numberCircle
  4. Reserve the number of your choice and get it activated by filling Form and submitting it with documents to nearest CSC
Activate VAS
  1. Tap on "VAS" icon on App bar
  2. Select the Circle and get the list of VAS providers
  3. Choose the service and get it activated

CDMA/Wi-Max Bill Payment
Provide the Service number and account number and follow the steps as mentioned above...
Recharge
  1. Tap on "Recharge" Icon in Tab bar / Menu bar.
  2. Enter the 10 digit BSNL Prepaid mobile number / Select from the contacts, then tap “Next”
  3. Tap on “TOPUP” and then on General TopUP / Flexi TopUp.
  4. Tap on required denomination in case of GENERAL TOPUP or enter the required amount (Minimum of Rs.50 and Maximum of Rs.5000 in multiples of Rs.10) in case of FLEXI TOPUP, then tap on “ Done”
  5. Select the desired payment option i.e., Credit/Debit/Cash cards/Net banking/Pay through IMPS.
  6. Complete the Payment in the Bank’s website.
  7. A receipt for successful payment will be displayed on screen and a confirmation issued through SMS.
  8. A receipt in PDF format also will be sent through email.
  9. Follow the steps as mentioned above for STV's and PLAN Vouchers.
Accounts
  1. Tap on "Accounts" icon on Tab bar / Menu bar
  2. Tap on “+” to Add an account related to Landline / GSM/CDMA/Wi-Max.
  3. Enter the required details like GSM Number, Account Number, Short Name,etc. Then Tap on “Save”.
  4. Also the App remembers all the successful transactions, hence no need to enter the details subsequently.
History
  1. You can view last 10 payments and 20 transactions done online against each service number.
